This course will take you, the student, on a journey of transformation and self-discovery through the soul and work of arguably the greatest mystic poet of Divine Love, Jalaluddin Rumi. Through the guidance of an instructor immersed in the Persian Sufi Mystic Tradition of Rumi, you will be able to deepen your consciousness and self-awareness by experiencing the richness and magical depth of the poetry of Rumi to uncover various states and stations of the Spiritual Path embedded in the universal wisdom and radiance of his teachings. You will be able to be able to discern some of the subtle nuances between the worldview and teachings of Rumiand other popular forms of self-help spirituality that have permeated modern-day collective consciousness in the 21st century. Students will be taken on a journey throughout the class to feel and experience the deep, esoteric wisdom embedded in the enchanting fables of Rumi’s Masnavi while also tapping into the ecstatic love consciousness infused in his Divan-e-Shams.
